# Coverage

> What you can look up with Shumi: any listed coin, any token with a DEX pool, perps on 17 exchanges, and real-world assets (RWA).

You can look up almost any crypto asset. Every coin with a market listing works by ticker or name. Any token with a DEX pool works by its contract address, including a token launched minutes ago. Shumi also covers perpetual futures on 17 exchanges and real-world assets (RWA): stocks, ETFs, metals, commodities, indices and FX that trade as perps.

## Coins and tokens

| You have | Use | You get |
| - | - | - |
| A ticker or a name | Ask in chat, or `shumi coin lookup PEPE`, `shumi coin by-name Pepe` | Price, market cap, supply and trend history. For the coins Shumi tracks in depth, also the 4h, 24h and 7d moves, funding and open interest |
| A contract address | Ask in chat, or `shumi coin by-contract 0x… --chain base` | The same as a ticker lookup for a listed coin. For a token that trades only in DEX pools: price, 24h change, volume, liquidity, its top pool and the number of buys and sells |

Contract lookups take `--chain`: `ethereum`, `bsc`, `solana`, `base` and more. [Coin Lookup](/research/coin-analysis) shows every way to find a coin.

The market-wide trend counts in [Market State](/research/market-health) and the [screener](/research/market-screener) cover the 1,000 or so largest coins, 991 on 2026-09-23.

## Perpetual futures

Shumi reads funding rates and open interest across 17 exchanges. The main ones, largest first:

| Kind | Exchanges |
| - | - |
| Centralised | Binance, Bitget, OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Gate.io, HTX, KuCoin, BingX, Deribit, Kraken, Crypto.com |
| Perp DEXes | Hyperliquid, Aster, Variational, Lighter |

## Real-world assets (RWA)

Stocks, ETFs, metals, commodities, indices and FX are covered as perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, Binance, Aster, Lighter and Variational. On 2026-09-23 the full list held 272 assets. `shumi rwa list` shows the first 200; `GET /api/cli/rwa/assets?top=1000` returns them all. Look one up with `shumi stock AAPL` or `shumi commodity GOLD`.

Some tickers name both a coin and a real-world asset. GOLD is one. [Coin Lookup](/research/coin-analysis) shows how to say which one you mean.

## How fresh the data is

Most responses carry two fields in `meta`: `as_of`, when the data was last refreshed, and `data_age_seconds`, how old it was when you asked.

```json theme={"dark"}
"meta": { "route": "funding/momentum/BTC", "as_of": "2026-09-23T13:46:56.725Z", "data_age_seconds": 3 }
```

Each kind refreshes on this schedule:

| Data | Refresh |
| - | - |
| Prices | Live |
| Market health, global figures | Every 5 minutes |
| Signal, funding momentum, coin risk, coin lookup, resolve, futures, real-world assets, sentiment, narratives, holders, wallets | Every hour |
| Screener, trends | Every 4 hours |
| Coin history, signal quality, pairs | Daily |
| Regime | When the regime flips |
